Blue
Blue was a percheron-quarter-horse mix. The percheron’s were French battle horses who carried soldiers and pulled artillery and cannons during World War I. Blue is our miracle horse because after suddenly and inexplicably going blind, she regained nearly all of her sight through the intuitive guidance of working with alternative healing practitioners.
One of the first members of EQUUS, Blue was a unique presence in the herd. Soft and calm, she seemed to have the ability to hold peace in and around herself. Her caring presence created a feeling of safety and quiet resilience, a true gift in the work here at EQUUS. She came forward holding not only her kindness, but her steadiness as well. Blue was the perfect example of grounded self awareness and respect, and invited us all to share that gift.
