Having spent thirty years navigating the San Francisco hills and highways while working in the dental industry, in 2002 I retired to live on a dirt road in Santa Fe. Not only did I discover new driving conditions, I also fell in love with horses – a new breed of love in my fifties. When my beloved twenty nine year old quarter horse Rocky died I began looking for a new way to connect with horses.

That is when I discovered EQUUS. Immediately I felt a bond with all the EQUUS animals and the fabulous ranch land. Three mornings each week you will find me at EQUUS. You may be surprised to learn that my favorite job is mucking, followed closely by grooming and exercising the horses. I am blessed by my time at Thunderbird Ridge, and I even love the people too.
